The last two years have been a period of extraordinary creative and business successes for True Entertainment. Here’s a brief summary:

GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DECORATE (Style): A series that combined home makeovers with surprise reunions.
WORLDS APART (National Geographic): A high-concept reality program in which typical American families move in with families in remote parts of the world.
DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS (National Geographic): A series with exclusive access to the international humanitarian group Doctors Without Borders, who told their remarkable and dramatic stories. Golden Globe winner Kiefer Sutherland narrated.
WOMEN DOCS (Lifetime): A primetime series following the lives of pioneering female physicians in hospitals around the country. The series also launched Lifetime’s new all-reality channel, Lifetime Real Women.
110 STORIES (TLC): An Emmy-nominated, powerful re-telling of the 9/11 disaster through the eyes of survivors who worked in the World Trade Center.
ROCKMED (VH1): A series which followed a team of doctors, nurses and paramedics who spend their nights providing free medical care at rock concerts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
DEARLY DEPARTED (TLC): A series chronicling the real-life dramas and quirky lifestyles of undertakers.
SEX, DICE & VEGAS (TLC): The true story behind the high-rollers in sin city.
LABOR & DELIVERY (TLC): An innovative and emotionally gripping look at childbirth in both inner city and suburban hospitals around the country.

And for over two years, True produced all original programming for SOAPNET, Disney/ABC’s 24-hour soap opera channel, including SOAPCENTER, a weekly half-hour magazine show covering the world of soaps. The line-up also included the channel’s daily news and feature updates, as well as a series of hour-long specials.

Also on the air in 2003 were THE GEOGRAPHY OF CRIME AND PUNISHMENT and THE GEOGRAPHY OF WEALTH, specials exploring the issues of justice and wealth in a wide range of cultures around the world.
